Flying events for 2010

Here are some of the events that will be happening in June .First June 12Th is our young Eagles Day, we always need volunteers for this event, if anyone is interested let myself know at mageaumike@gmail.com or Yvon Lecours store038@mmms.ca . Next event planned is our gold rush fly-in set for June 19. As you can see by this picture Yvon and his family had a great day of flying to lake Temagami last week. Thanks for sending the pics Yvon .Anyone can send me pics and I will post them on this blog. We had our regular meeting held this past week at the Shania Twain center. The survival course that was going to happen this coming weekend will have to be postponed due to Mike having to have surgery. He is hoping to have it in march sometime. It was to bad that Bill Davidson could not come to our meeting due to illness, we wish Bill the best for a speedy recovery and hope to see him at our next meeting. Also we talked about the Inter-provincial Air tour coming up in May , They have spots for about 60 aircraft's this year and already about 36 have registered, space is limited. Hi Again

We have our regular meeting on February 9 with guest speaker ,Bill Davidson from Ajax, Ontario. Also we have a date from Mike Chartier on the survival course that he will be putting on for us it will be on February 20Th at his cottage, we will have more details at our meeting on Tuesday.

Yvon Lecour opened our meeting with everyone introducing themselves. The meeting started with Mike Mageau introducing the new blog for our club, mike is hoping to help get more information out to our club members, if you wish to get information to me so I can put on our blog with a link or pictures E-mail myself at mageaumike@gmail.com If you wish to make comments I'll show you step by step later in this paragraph. Second on the agenda was our main speaker survivalist Mike Chartier. If you wanted to know anything about survival you missed a good night,Mike is very knowledgeable when it comes to surviving the outdoors, I think everyone in the meeting came out with something that we can take with us next time we do a cross country. Mike will take a group of people out this winter or early spring to do more survival techniques.Now if you want to put comments to this blog ,first put your cursor to comments at the bottom of this article and enter, once you get the page were you can add your comments at the bottoms right hand side you will see a dialog box which says comments click on the down arrow and you will see the word that says google ,then click on this, then you will have to create a google account very simple to do. Once you have done this you should be able to post a comment. Try it out !!!!

Welcome again! I know it's been awhile since our last update, first of all Happy New Year!!! We start off the year with a meeting at the Shania Twain centre, meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday January 12,2010. Our guest speaker survivalist Mike Chartier, hope we have good turn out for him, so lets get all together and bring in the New Year the best way we know how,Flying Stories of course.

Hello to everyone!

Hope everyone had a good time at our Xmas party, held at the Airport Hotel this past Friday Nov 27TH. Thanks go out to Lloyd Richards, Yvon Lecour, Mike Geofffroy and the staff at the Airport Hotel. We had a good turn out of 40 people, with wine tasting that was very pleasing to the palette. I hope we can do this every year, it was very nice atmosphere with piano playing by Ken Alexander.I like to wish all our members and there family's a very happy holiday and remember 8hrs bottle to throttle.

Good day !!!! Welcome again for another Blog session.We had our monthly meeting at the Shania Twain Center meeting started at 7:30 pm ,on our adgenda we had our election for our President for two years,Yvon Lecour has been nominated and elected as President for Two years and vice chairman elected was Mike Mageau and also was elected as treasurer, membership went to John Huggins. Yvon opened the meeting with our budget for the up-coming year ,Mike Mageau presented the budget. Our next presenter was Harley Nickkel from the Timmins Airport,Harley went over some of the activitie that are going on at the airport for this year and up-coming year.He talked about projects that would be coming up at the airport.
