We have a good meeting planned for our January meeting scheduled for Thursday January 13,2011 at 7:00pm @ the Shania Twain Center. Our Copa President will be their Kevin Psutka, Also on our agenda will be the air tour on May 26,2011 Starting in Cornwall, Quebec city ,Mt Laurier,Val'Dor

November Meeting

Hello again I know it has been awhile since we updated our blog, so here is what's happening for upcoming winter season that was brought up at our November meeting. We had guest speaker his name was Dave Dayment new airport manager for Timmins ,we welcome him to our great city,Dave was airport manager at Buttonville in southern Ontario, so good luck Dave. We also had Philip Englishman he is the director for Copa for southern Ontario, Philip spoke to us about the Copa convention coming in June 23,24, 2011 in Hanover, Ontario. He would like to welcome everyone whether you fly or drive to the convention. They are expecting around 600 people ,so hopefully he has a good turn out.I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the Xmas parade held this past weekend our club was represented By Lloyd Richards, Marc Talbot, Mike Geoffroy and his wife. On that note we have our annual Xmas party on December 03,2010 tickets are available from Tom Faught 360-4300. Last thing on our meeting was a cheque from Xstrata copper for a 1,ooo dollars to towards the Young Eagle program this comes from Mike Mageau threw the community engagement recognition program were Mike is a employee at Kidd Creek Mine.Bye for now.

Hello to pilots and friends

Well May is here already,what to do for summer flying. Some people have made plans already were to fly or were to go fishing,these are some big decisions to make as our summer season has limited time. We have to talk about our home builders as well as some of you that have been working on some projects all winter and just eager to get out and see if it was all worth while spending time by yourself or without your wife. Some events that we are planning for June in Timmins are Young Eagles day set for June 12 at the Victor Power Airport. The following week of June 19 we are having a fly-in breakfast weather permitting . Almost forgot to mention about the Inter provincial air tour set for the last week of May,should be lots of fun

Flying events for 2010

Here are some of the events that will be happening in June .First June 12Th is our young Eagles Day, we always need volunteers for this event, if anyone is interested let myself know at mageaumike@gmail.com or Yvon Lecours store038@mmms.ca . Next event planned is our gold rush fly-in set for June 19. As you can see by this picture Yvon and his family had a great day of flying to lake Temagami last week. Thanks for sending the pics Yvon .Anyone can send me pics and I will post them on this blog. We had our regular meeting held this past week at the Shania Twain center. The survival course that was going to happen this coming weekend will have to be postponed due to Mike having to have surgery. He is hoping to have it in march sometime. It was to bad that Bill Davidson could not come to our meeting due to illness, we wish Bill the best for a speedy recovery and hope to see him at our next meeting. Also we talked about the Inter-provincial Air tour coming up in May , They have spots for about 60 aircraft's this year and already about 36 have registered, space is limited. Hi Again

We have our regular meeting on February 9 with guest speaker ,Bill Davidson from Ajax, Ontario. Also we have a date from Mike Chartier on the survival course that he will be putting on for us it will be on February 20Th at his cottage, we will have more details at our meeting on Tuesday.
